On Saturday 29th September trustees and volunteers from Enfield Caribbean Association, attended the Reach Society 9th Recognition Awards Dinner which was held at the prestigious Park Lane Hotel, Victoria.

The guest speakers included Sir Geoff Palmer, scientist and activist; Jonathan Crawford from Goldman Sachs; Melda Frater, Harley Street GP and Richard Mair, CIPA past principal. The event was attended by over 140 guests. ECA trustees Oveta Mcinnis, Cedric Levy and Dionne John were delighted to receive a special award from Reach Society for services to the Community - corporate support.

There were speeches, a sumptuous 3 course dinner, dancing and a raffle and we were delighted that our book Windrush Voices: 20 Stories of Determination and Triumph was presented as one of the raffle prizes. "It was an enjoyable evening and lovely to see so many organisations and charities represented all doing good work supporting our communities. A good time was had by all," said Oveta Mcinnis Chair ECA.
