Volunteers needed!

ECA has an ambitious programme of activities to support our local community. This includes a befriending service, luncheon club and social media sites to promote our services.  However, we need volunteers to help to bring these activities to life. Please contact us if you would like to offer your services. Where appropriate we can offer training.

Enfield Caribbean Association is a small charity with big ambitions.

Founded in 1986, we work to ensure that Enfield's African Caribbean Community is fully informed about services it needs, including advocacy, addressing local community issues, befriending, and organising social and cultural activities.

As a result of the current Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic crisis, we had to temporarily stop all our events and activities. We went digital with some activities such as the Windrush celebration and the digital online school we organised during this Summer.

We introduced social distancing for our elders who exercised outdoor in parks in Enfield throughout the Summer . We have now restarted our Luncheon Club, respecting social distancing and operating Covid-safe best practices. We are also planning our Black History activities for October 2020.

We have an ambitious programme of activities and where appropriate we can offer training. However, we need your volunteering help to bring these activities to life. In particular we need help with:

  • Fortnightly luncheon club
  • Collecting elders for the luncheon club
  • Befriending
  • Professional/legal skills
  • Managing content on ECA’s website and social media sites

If you have a few hours to spare a month, then please click here to email us, or complete the contact form or give us a call on 0796 165 1966.

We look forward to hearing from you.
