During the winter months many people suffer particular hardship, particularly the elderly and vulnerable. Cold weather can make some health problems worse and even lead to serious complications, especially if you are 65 or older, or if you have a long-term health condition. It is important now more than ever to keep well by keeping warm.

Enfield Carers Centre are working with the NHS to promote winter wellbeing to Enfield communities. They have produced the flyer to offer advice and guidance to Enfield residents about how to keep well during the winter months. There is advice and suggestions for things we can do and places to seek support.

You may be entitled to a grant from the government to help with your heating costs. For more on the government schemes, visit simpleenergyadvice.org.uk and gov.uk/browse/benefits/heating You can find out more information about keeping well this winter by visiting Enfield Council’s website: enfield.gov.uk/KeepWellThisWinter.

The leaflet provides some top tips for the months ahead. Please spread the word.
