The Enfield Caribbean Association is happy to announce that its luncheon club will reopen on Friday 11th September 2020.

After six months of forced closure due to the Covid crisis, the ECA’s luncheon club will be reopening at 12pm on Friday 11th September. The luncheon club now has a new venue, Green Towers Community Centre at Edmonton Green, but what’s on offer will be just as good – a friendly and welcoming atmosphere, a gentle seated exercise class, a hot two course Caribbean meal, refreshments, games and interesting speakers.

This year, in partnership with Enfield council, we also plan to try some new activities to stimulate and interest our members, for example a walking group and visits to local places of interest.

Through the regular contact we have maintained with our existing members, we know that many are looking forward to meeting their friends and the ECA volunteers. However, following our outreach efforts, we are hoping to welcome many new members and their first visit will be free of charge. Please be aware that due to social distancing our spaces are limited, to avoid disappointment please contact us in advance of your visit.

Initially the luncheon club will open fortnightly, 12pm – 3pm on these Fridays: 11th and 25th September, 9th and 23rd October 2020.

To comply with all health guidelines a thorough risk assessment has been carried out and the luncheon club will be operating Covid-safe, with hand sanitising, face coverings and social distancing all compulsory.
