Making History is coming to Enfield this month! Don’t miss out on all some amazing free creative workshops!

Making History is a project funded by the National Lottery designed to encourage young people to express their emotions and experiences relating to COVID-19 and the London lockdown. This year has been a challenging time for everyone. However, the voices of our young people are being lost and we feel passionately about creating a platform for them to be heard.

Platinum Performing Arts will be inviting children aged 9-18 from the Enfield community to take part in free creative workshops at Millfield House! They have plans for many fun and exciting workshops on offer including photography, pottery, dance, poetry, spoken word, fitness & wellbeing and more!

The project runs for six months with six consecutive weeks of workshops. Platinum Performing Arts will gather evidence of their challenges and experiences and these will be recorded as a short film or published in a book that will be sent to schools and libraries in the local area and used as a history book for current and future generations!

At the end of the workshops there will be a festival which adheres to current COVID-19 Government guidelines. Platinum say, it will be an amazing day of celebration showcasing the children’s work and achievements to be supported and appreciated by the whole local community!

Workshops started on Tuesday 13th October 2020 and run on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays!

Platinum Performing Arts was established in 2006 in the London Borough of Enfield, North London. The company is a non-profit organisation with an aim to help support young people and provide them with a platform to boost their confidence and pursue their dreams. Platinum recently opened a full-time college where they offer an inventive, diverse and inclusive environment for our students to progress in.
