Dear Friends

The Coronavirus has hit us all unexpectedly and has affected everything that we do. It has caused us to change our everyday habits and has led to isolation particularly for the elderly and vulnerable who may be isolating alone. This is a time when we need to come together to support one another in any way that we can.

Enfield Caribbean Association trustees and volunteers are making regular telephone contact with our elders to check that they are okay and offer to do any errands if necessary. If you know anyone who would appreciate telephone contact or additional support, please email us on; info@theeca.org.uk or oveta@theeca.org.uk.

Enfield Caribbean Association is also working with Edmonton Street Watch to continue to help older BME residents in Enfield during this difficult time. A food distribution hub in Edmonton has been set up to ensure our elderly, others vulnerable to Covid-19 and families experiencing financial difficulties in Enfield have access to food.

The food parcels provide a helping hand and include fresh fruits and vegetables, they are delivered free to the resident's front door. If you need support obtaining food, know of anyone who may need assistance or you wish to volunteer to drop-off food parcels once a week at doorsteps across Enfield, please call Dionne on 07915 919 524 or REGISTER online.

Thank you to All our supporters.
Take care and stay healthy.
